Mynwood Cat Jackets

Guestbook 1

27th December 2011

Hi there Maria,
I hope you are well and had a good xmas. I have finally got organized and have enclosed some photo's of Hottie wearing his Camouflage Jacket in the garden. He comes as soon as I call walkies and gets into position to have his Jacket put on, though he can be impatient on occasions. He even assumes his Walkies Position" to tell me he wants out and watch out if I do not do as requested. I get pestered, nibbled and verbally appealed to (at least I think it's an appeal and not verbal abuse!)
He loves to run out and firstly checks to see if next door's young Beagle is out & tethered - if she is he then takes great pleasure in staring at her until she is in a state, even to jumping down and sitting just out of reach of her nose................he is so naughty and unflappable. I was watching him yesterday and to add insult to injury he turned his back on the Beagle held his tail high so that she went wild as she could not smell the bottom that was being flaunted in her face. He then turned around and started to wash him self and generally make free with the Beagle's(?) territory. Once the Beagle has been visited he checks out the Cat runs in the garden for scents, before attempting to catch anything that moves or flies.
I use the long lead under regular supervision - that is - he is tethered to a point with 22 ft of lead, so I can let him out and carry out chores, rather than sit and watch him 100%. He has finally realised that when I put his lead on him his legs actually do work, so he no longer keels over on to his side - he can't fool me (all of the time!)
All of the above fun and entertainment would not have been possible without Hottie's Jacket, so many thanks for it.

Hi Maria
Oh wow, just had a look at your website abd Shadow has made a few appearances there already! :-)
I must add, that Shadow HATED other cat harness I bought for him when he was still small - he would not walk in it and literally jumped off the walls like crazy. Mynwood jacket is obviously super comfy, Shadow just lied down on his side at first but when he realised he is going outside, he got so excited, it was like he was born in that jacket! Really well made, fits him like a glove (adjustable glove!) and nice colour for him too.
We are a talk of the neighbourhood. AND Shadow- the only cat proudly prancing in the park.
I will take some more movies on the weekend, Shadow will be more interactive, he was a little scared of cars and dogs when we took him to the park last two times and would retreat into his carrier, but last night when we took him to the park he was really bold and would not want to come home!
So massive thank you for a difference your jacket made to Shadow's life - once an indoor only cat confined to a small apartament in the city (with no balcony) - now happily sniffing grass and bushes and chasing butterflies in the park.
:-)
I will send the movies shortly
best regards from Magda, Brad and biggest purrs from Shadow

Hello Maria
I guess it's been 2 weeks since we received Charlie's Red Jacket.
The jacket arrived promptly all safe and sound. It is beautifully made and a good fit for now and growing. The Red is perfect for him and myself. I was thrilled with it, Thank You.

I am visually impaired and Charlie our Australian Mist of 13 months, is very boisterous. He could only go outside when my son was home to supervise him. Even then he would vanish from time to time. I found the other harnesses useless and searched for something better, which was the Mynwood walking jacket.

I followed the instructions on the training link. The 1st day he kept falling over, and couldn't jump up. My husband told me he thought the jacket was to tight, but I knew this was normal.
By the 3rd day Charlie would just stand and let you put on the jacket, at the front door, though not in a hurry to go out.

He is now a lounge around cat, we have a long lead attached to it, and now when where
out he just wants to sit on your lap or on the grass.
But I guess he will slowing increase his activeness when he is totally at home with the jacket.
Many thanks for sharing your idea and talent.
With kind regards
Helen Healy
Australia.

Hello Maria!
This is a picture of our Blue Eyed Snow Spotted Bengal Safara in her Red Cat Jacket! Everytime we get it out of the draw, she run's straight to the front door! Highly Recommended! Saffy has escaped out of all the other harnesses we have bought, except this one! Very escape proof!
Thank You! Nicole Dring x

We love the Mynwood Cat Jacket! It fits our Bengal perfectly. We'd been using a harness of the kind that dogs wear, and we knew it was not completely secure. He was able to escape once. The Mynwood is easy to put on and take off, and is comfortable while being completely secure. Everyone here in California compliments him on his "Tartan" jacket! We haven't taken a good photo with it yet, but you can see it clearly on the YouTube videos when we're walking him, like this one:

I'll email you a photo once we have one. As I recall the website was good and straightforward to use. I most appreciated all the photos that you had of the different cats in the different jackets -- it was the best guide for us on how they worked and what we wanted! Also I think it is great that you take the custom measurements of the cat into account.
Thanks again~
Julia
