Mynwood Cat Jackets

I received Gwydion's cat jacket and it fits puurrfectly! He spent several minutes flopped over on his side once I put it on but then vigorously tried getting it off and happy to report - completely unsuccessful. I took him outside once he got used to it a little bit and he just cried to go back in so I took off the lead and let him eat treats out of his Bizzy Kitty with the jacket on inside. I did not keep it on very long since this is the first day but I did get some good pictures. I will try to send them with this email...thank you very much. I have some fabric here also - would I be able to send that to you and have you use that for another one (or two)? I like to have a back-up in case one is in the wash or whatever.

Dear Maria
I've been meaning to drop you a line after receiving the lovely pink jacket you sent me. I was unsure at first how likely it was that my cat Cordelia Chase would cope with it, but after a month she is now a well know source of amusement as I take her for a walk around the block of flat's I have recently moved to.

As a rescue from Battersea she was incredible nervous and even now I'm the only one who can pick her up and she will run away from strangers. The jacket has made it possible to give her some fresh air and a good sniff at all the goings on, and having to keep her indoors during the rest of the time isn't quite so bad.

I've attached a picture showing her investigating a gap in the fence, as next door is always more interesting!

I can’t believe that a year has already passed since Romulus (now 15.5 years) had his harness from you. He took to it straight away; we never had any walking backwards or panic attacks. His worsening genetic eye condition & limited hearing meant that he was no longer safe, outside, alone so finding your website was an answer to my worries over how we were going to help him enjoy life, as he has always been an outdoor cat. His Mynwood jacket has opened up his world. We have a large garden & he seems to remember his way round (most of the time!) He will sometimes take me along the street; I do get stares, so I explain, & everyone is most interested in him & his “waistcoat”. He can hear enough to know the sound of the Velcro unfastening, when I get the jacket from the cupboard. He gets quite excited & once the harness is in place, he takes himself off to the back door, with his lead trailing, waiting for an escort. Jasmine & Krystal like to walk round with us; they purr & get quite fussy about the whole thing, as did Nimbus, who had to leave us in July ‘11.

Our latest addition is Osiris, a black-smoke Maine Coon. I’m convinced that Nimbus sent him to us as they share many quirks & characteristics, not least, a wonderful temperament. I ordered his harness when he was 18 weeks (he has just turned 21 weeks) & it’s blue, to match great-uncle Romulus’. I wondered how we’d get on, with his being a kitten, but he leapt in the air twice, I think (rather randomly) & that’s been it! It’s a bit hard to walk them both together as Osiris wants to go in all directions at once! Service was exceptional, as before & the harness was here within about 48 hours. I thought that I’d possibly have to order 2 or 3 from you, as Osiris grows, but you have cleverly designed it to allow for growth, yet it fits beautifully for now as well.

Many thanks for our 2 harnesses; I have recommended you to several cat owners, as well as our vets, the Pet-Sitting firm, for whom I work, plus Osiris’ breeder.

My jacket arrived today, and it is beyond magnificent! It fits perfectly, not like those uncouth ill-fitting ones you buy at the shops, so thank you very much for making it for me. I daresay it’s purrrfect (pun intended). As I was already used to going on walks my human was able to take me out today, for a stroll in the sun. I was able to move around far better than before, it was my best walk yet! I’ve asked my human about to do those favours for you:

1. Please find the photographs of Mr. T enjoying his snazzy new jacket attached to this email

2. I thought your website was very easy to navigate around, and quite straightforward to use. Your company is fantastic, it offers a great one-of-a-kind product at a really reasonable price, I really think if this was marketed well you could do so well – there are lots of crazy cat people out there afterall! I don’t know if you’ve read much about SEO, but it is all about making your website come up in google searches which will ultimately result in more sales. Also given this is quite an original idea you should think about contacting some cat/pet magazines and see if they’d be interested in doing a feature on you, which would get you some publicity. I really wish you and your business all the best, it is so refreshing to see good quality fairly priced pet products on the market!

Hi Maria,
I got my cat jacket yesterday and love it :)
Mozart my kitty doesn't mind wearing it either :) he seems quite comfortable in it. I have only put it on loosely while he gets used to wearing it as he is only 13 weeks old. he wore it for about 4 hours today. I will continue to put it on him just to wear for a while then put a lead on when I am happy with him wearing it happily.

As you can see, Jasper is totally happy and sleeping in his jacket. What a brilliant idea to make these things - you must have crept into the skin of a cat to know how to do these! Lol

Hi Maria
This beautiful jacket lasted one year, it has been worn every day since we got Orlando as a 4 months old kitten. Sadly it is getting too small now, that's why I ordered two new ones, could not decide which one I like better...
I'll send one with Orlando and our dogs, and when my husband is back we can send a short video of the cat walking.

You can't see much of your jacket but because it is such a safe harness we have been taking Orlando everywhere, to the coast, to Mull, and on daily walks with the dogs.
